Channel Letter Installation Guide
Proper installation is essential for the appearance, safety, and long-term performance of channel letters. Depending on the sign design, wall structure, wiring requirements, and project conditions, channel letters can be installed using several different mounting methods. The following installation guides cover the most common options, including Stud mounting, External mounting tabs, Raceway mounting, Backboard Keyhole Slot Mounting and related wiring methods. Please choose the installation method that best matches your sign and wall type, and follow the corresponding steps carefully.In addition to the installation methods above, several other specialized mounting options are available, including Base-Mounted Letters, and Suspended Mount (Stainless Steel Hanging System).
Stud Mounting
Stud mounting is one of the most common installation methods for channel letters. Threaded studs on the back of each letter are inserted into pre-drilled wall holes, providing a strong, secure, and clean installation with the mounting hardware hidden from view.
Stud mounting is suitable for Face-Lit Channel Letters, Backlit Channel Letters, and Face & Backlit Channel Letters.
External Mounting Tabs
External Mounting Tabs is suitable for Channel letters sign; Light box; channel letters with backboard; Raceway Channel letters sign.

Raceway Mounting
Raceway mounting installs the illuminated letters onto a metal enclosure that contains the wiring and power supply, allowing the entire sign assembly to be mounted to the wall as one unit. This method reduces the number of wall penetrations and helps keep the wiring organized and protected.
Important:
Make sure the raceway is securely fastened to a suitable structural surface using the correct screws, bolts, or anchors for the wall material. Check that the raceway is level before tightening all hardware.
Backboard Keyhole Slot Mounting
Keyhole slot mounting securely installs channel letter signs with a backboard while concealing the screws for a clean, professional finish.
Channel Letters Wiring Guide
A. Standard Wire Connection
Please follow the wiring diagram when installing and connecting the illuminated letters. Do not connect the letters directly to AC power or to a DC power supply exceeding 12V, as this may damage or burn out the LEDs. If you are not familiar with electrical wiring, please have a professional handle the wiring.
B. Plug-and-Play Connector Connection
Plug-and-Play Wiring: Pre-installed connectors allow illuminated letters to be connected quickly and easily without cutting or splicing wires, offering faster installation, fewer wiring errors, easier maintenance, and a more user-friendly setup.
Other Mounting Options Available Upon Request
Base-Mounted Letters
Base-mounted letters are designed to sit on a flat surface. The letters are secured to a shared base, allowing the sign to remain stable while still being easy to move or reposition when needed. They are suitable for floors, counters, shelves, display tables, stages, and other flat surfaces.
Suspended Mount (Stainless Steel Hanging System)
Suspended mounting installs channel letters on a stainless steel support frame, with the wiring concealed inside the stainless steel tubing for a clean and professional appearance. It is especially suitable for locations without a suitable storefront fascia or wall surface. During installation, the suspension rods are securely fastened to the ceiling with screws or appropriate anchors.
Individual L-Bracket Base Mount
This mounting method uses individual L-shaped base brackets to support each illuminated letter in an upright position on a flat surface. It is suitable for storefront canopies, floors, platforms, and tabletops.
