Light Box Installation Guide

Our light box sign range includes Lit Double-Sided Blade Signs, Routed Face Light Box Signs, Cabinet Signs, Acrylic Light Boxes, Slim LED Light Box Signs, 3D-Printed Light Boxes, and more. Common mounting options include Wall Mount, Side Mount, and Suspended Mount. Below are the most commonly used installation methods for light box signs.

Wall Mount -- Keyhole Slot Mounting

Suitable for: Routed Face Light Box Signs, Cabinet Signs, Acrylic Light Boxes, and 3D-Printed Light Boxes.

Keyhole slot mounting is a simple and secure installation method commonly used for light box signs and other wall-mounted signs. The sign hangs onto screws through pre-cut keyhole slots on the back, allowing for quick installation and easy removal when maintenance is needed.
Important:
Make sure the screws and wall anchors are suitable for the wall material and the weight of the sign. Leave the screw heads slightly away from the wall so the keyhole slots can slide into place securely.

Other Wall Mount Installation Hardware Options

1. External Mounting Tab Installation

Suitable for: Routed Face Light Box Signs, Cabinet Signs.

1. Position and Level the Sign
   Hold the sign against the wall at the desired installation location. Use a level to make sure the sign is straight and properly aligned.
2. Mark the Mounting and Wiring Holes
   Mark the positions of all mounting screw holes and the wire pass-through hole on the wall.
3. Drill the Holes and Insert Wall Anchors
   Drill holes at the marked locations using the appropriate drill bit. Insert the wall anchors securely into the mounting holes.
4. Route the Power Wire Through the Wall
   Feed the sign’s power wire through the prepared wire hole and into the wall.
5. Secure the Sign to the Wall
   Align the mounting tabs with the anchors, then fasten the sign firmly using the supplied screws. Check again to make sure the sign remains level.
6. Connect Power and Test the Lighting
   Connect the sign to the power supply, turn it on, and check that the front illumination and backlighting are working properly.
   

2. Z-Clip Mounting Installation

Suitable for: Routed Face Light Box Signs, Cabinet Signs.

1. Measure the Sign-Side Z-Clip
   Measure the size and position of the Z-Clip already attached to the back of the sign. If the wiring will be concealed behind the wall, also measure the location of the wire exit point.
2. Mark the Wall
   Transfer the measurements to the wall and position the wall-side Z-Clip accordingly. Hold the Z-Clip against the wall and mark the screw hole locations. Also mark the wire hole position if the wiring will pass through the wall.
3. Drill the Holes & Install Anchors
   Drill the marked screw holes and wire hole. Insert suitable wall anchors where required based on the wall material.
4. Feed the Wires
   Feed the power wires through the wire hole and into the wall.
5. Hang the Sign
   Align the Z-Clip on the back of the sign with the Z-Clip mounted on the wall. Lower the sign carefully until the two clips fully engage and lock together.
6.  Connect Power & Test
   Connect the sign to the correct power supply, turn on the power, and check that the sign is securely mounted and illuminates properly.

Side Mount -- Blade Sign Mounting Installation

Blade signs are mounted perpendicular to the wall using an integrated mounting bracket, making them highly visible from both directions. Proper wall anchoring is especially important because the sign is cantilevered away from the wall and is exposed to additional leverage and wind load.
Important: Use appropriate lag screws, bolts, or masonry anchors based on the wall material and sign weight. Whenever possible, secure the bracket to structural framing, blocking, concrete, or masonry rather than relying only on drywall.
